peter ward

Peter thinks it's quite possible that amongst the billions of planets, earth very well might be the only place with "intelligent life". Our planet, like us is going to die one day and not likely frmo global warming. But, the fact is that anything could happen, just like us, our planet could be the victim of an accident...a rogue star, supernove, gigantic asteroid, etc. It appears that life on earth, has been wiped out before...asteroid catastrophe (KT, a ten kilometer wide asteroid)....so many things that could cause a catastrophe, yet we continue to survive....yet we treat our planet like we can just go down to target and get a new one. What's up with that, why don't we do everything we can to preserve what we have, if for no other reason than to give our kids a chance to experience nature...he's showing a nautlilus which has been on the planet for 500 million years. In 100 years we could have beachfronts in brand new places. One of Peter's friends is convinced we've got less than 100 years before view properties become beachfront.
